Lake and medieval city
Classed as one of the 50 most beautiful towns of France, at 475m altitude and surrounded by 3km of ramparts, LANGRES offers a rich heritage and architecture. You will also find a beautiful cathedral, a museum and a history full of famous people born here.
The philosopher Denis Diderot, inventor of the encyclopaedia, was born here in 1713. The most famous person of the �Langrois� population is omnipresent in the town in the form of statues, street and place names.
