The cutlery Museum
Opened in 1991, the Museum offers the visitor:
* A permanent exhibition of hundreds of rarities such as knives, scissors and surgical instruments.
* An audiovisual room of 40 places (many videos on request)
* The audioguides in french, English, German, Dutch, included in the admission price.
* A shop with a selection of the best products of the basin. The Museum is also a place for events, conferences and research.
For groups, it offers reservation, guided tours.
Inaugurated by the Minister of research and technology, the Museum presents the nogentais heritage of yesterday and today. Its purpose is to expose the variety of coutelieres productions of the Xyiiieme century to the contemporary instruments titanium. To do this, it offers contemplation crafted scissors and the amazing knives manufactured by craftsmen-artists. It also allows a technical approach to the know-how of manufacturing, human and social realities awareness and openness to contemporary creativity.
Opened from 1 April to 30 September every day from 10 h to 12 h and from 14 h to 18 h and on booking from March to October.
